I am an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer who has a deep interest in data science, machine learning and AI. My PhD is in the use of ML to predict musculoskeletal loads. I have been delving on the use of LLM's and specificially local models in powering personal agents for specified tasks such as RAG (and other methods like graphRAG and LoRA) personal documents in a secure manner and. Smaller local models seem to be best at more streamlined and secure multi agent workflows that require more deterministic results.

I have experience and am interested in building ML models for regression tasks as well as deployment of local AI agents for local RAG. Hoping to learn more about how we can create agent workflows using small open local models through the use of techniques such as GraphRAG and LORA for fine tuning to get more accurate and deterministic answers.
